Toonspeeka

ToonSpeeka Demo. Experimental animated speech-on-demand using Media Semantics CS. This caches files to limit load on the Character Server and also allows it to be strictly firewalled to all but the Web server. Normally the clients' browser is served direct which allows leeching. Also developed a simple PHP API which makes life much easier when integrating dynamic content into other sites and applications. Another advantage of this method is its possible to serve the stream in any video format supported by ffmpeg, rather than just swf, flv and quicktime offered by the standard server.

Prototype alternative login methods for switch and touchscreen users with ID - from the TechDis In-Folio Project I've been working on with Rix Centre for a dozen or so UK Specialist FE Colleges. [Now implemented into the switch browser application and In-Folio itself.]

Images, Symbols Ruby markup

Testing the idea of using images as symbols simple searches of Google, Flickr and Yahoo against keywords to annotate text using Ruby. Somewhat limited by the quality of metadata, but not entirely hopeless.
